There was a great column by David Whitley in the Orlando Sentinel about the overreaction of Manchester United fans to Malcolm Glazer taking over the team.
Glazer has now acquired the 75% control necessary to take the team private.

Man U is huge all over the world except in the US. The US is a pretty big market, although less so where soccer is concerned.
It's hard to imagine Man U ever being relegated, but as someone who has no rooting interest in any EPL team, I'd think it was pretty amusing if they did.
